Recess #10: 5 things on my wishlist right now
Plus: so many good new albums
Happy mid-April! I’m in a money-saving mode right now which means everything I want to buy is more of a temptation than ever. Here are some things at the top of my wishlist that I will be window-shopping for the foreseeable future.
Sun shirts for mama and baby. I’ve reached the age where I care way more about my skin (and tattoos!) than how I look when I’m out adventuring. And putting sunscreen on a toddler is just a lot of work. I’m definitely going to be keeping an eye on these when the REI anniversary sale starts in May.
I always thought the idea of a color e-reader was pointless until I saw this upcoming release from Kobo. The cute highlighting? The note-taking capabilities? Seamless integration with Libby? Trying not to take it too seriously until it comes out and I can read/watch more reviews but it looks so promising and fun.
Okay, back to REI because I’m clearly in camping season prep mode. I’ve had this love seat camp chair on my actual physical wishlist (yes, I have one of those) for a while but have yet to pull the trigger. Imagine the whole family cuddled up on this around the fire. Dreamy.
If you haven’t seen all the food-shaped ceramics at World Market right now, let me fix that for you. I’m obsessed with all of them, but I think these little tomatoes might be my favorite.
I keep seeing Instagram ads for this jumpsuit and they are getting to me. I want it so bad but I could never spend this much money on white clothing that I would immediately ruin. There is also a matching one for kids but we don’t need to talk about that.

Reading: I got an eARC of Anna Dorn’s upcoming book and it is all my favorite things: unhinged, stressful, hilarious, and queer.
Watching: Still slowly making my way through season two of The Traitors. It’s not as good as the first season but Alan’s outfits are still immaculate.
Listening: New albums from Lizzy McAlpine and Maggie Rogers? I’m set for the rest of the year.
Eating: The cookbook I’ve been the most excited for finally released and I’ll be eating my way through it all summer.
